Welcome to the Las Vegas Canoe Club information site.
Here you'll find information on upcoming trips,
as well as pictures & commentary
on some of our past trips.
We are The Canoe Club for Las Vegas
and surrounding areas.
We also enjoy camping, fishing, dutch oven cooking,
hiking, and bird watching.
The very scenic Black Canyon below Hoover Dam,
Lake Mead and the Lake Mead National Recreation Area,
Big Bend of the Colorado State Park in Laughlin,
and Willow Beach in Arizona are some of our
favorite places during the cooler fall, winter, and spring seasons.
All of which are parts the COLORADO RIVER system.
They all have breathtaking views and are very close to Las Vegas.
During the warmer and hot months we plan camping
and canoe trips in the cool mountains surrounding Las Vegas .
We visit beautiful places like Pahranagat Wildlife Refuge in Alamo,
Navajo Lake in Southern Utah, and Mt. Charleston.
Every August our members also love to attend the
Annual Bullhead City River Regatta down in Bullhead Arizona!
We spend a great summer on the water weekend in Laughlin
with over 10,000 other tubing enthusiasts!
Most of our trips are very family friendly and planned to
accomodate novice and pro alike.
Canoes are available for rent at very reasonable rates from
Desert River Outfitters if you don't own one.
Free lessons are always available
and our members are also ready and
willing to pitch in and give pointers to help make each trip great.
Our trips have something to offer everyone that enjoys the
outdoors and our members are all avid enthusiasts.
Join us for one of our monthly "Pint Nights" or "Java Nights" at some of our
fantastic watering holes located throughout the Las Vegas area.
